Why tutor with me?

I have tutored many students for the USMLE Step 1 exam using a systematic study method I developed. This study method is highly personalized and has helped all of my students so far (25+) pass the exam. Students who work with me experience gradual improvements on their NBME exams and feel more confident in their medical knowledge.

My tutoring method incorporates teaching medical content, test-taking strategies, customized memory tools, and more. I teach students how to reason through USMLE questions and help them understand why they got questions wrong. Then, I teach them what they need to know to answer questions right the next time. This process helps students make more rapid progress and creates lasting change in their ability to reason through questions.

About Me

I'm Dr. Nina Byskosh, I received my MD from the Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, IL. I have tutored STEM subjects for over 10 years now and am passionate about medical education.

My motivation for tutoring Step 1 came from my initial struggles with exam preparation. With the right study method and resources, I was able to pass the USMLE Step 1 exam within a narrow time frame. I enjoy tutoring students understand the material commonly tested on exams and seeing when students take on the challenge of the USMLE Step 1 exam.
